‘It was a dark and stormy night, the ship creaking and the cold night setting in; the sailors looked at a bottle of spirit that would get them through the night.’ Little did they know that bottle of spirit would be one of the oldest and prolific drinks to be enjoyed by all!
August 16 is celebrated as the national rum day (Thanks, internet!). As we approach the date closer, we pay tribute to a drink that’s come a long way since its inception. Historically, rum dates back to the early 1600s when sugarcane was widely cultivated, the byproduct of it was used to create the spirit. Since then, rum has seen different styles and variations of the drink made in the form of popular recipes and cocktails. If you’re not already celebrating your ‘personal’ time with rum, our proposition should make it sweeter.
So here’s how it works, while you’re making yourself a drink, maybe a Pina Colada or a Mojito; we absolutely recommend experimenting with the recipes below. It’s our promise, you will be DELIGHTED!
